History of the Atomic Bomb

In the spring of 2009, this interdisciplinary course about Japan and the atomic bomb was co-taught by Bill Johnston, professor of Japanese history, and Eiko Otake, a dancer and Center for Creative Research fellow in residency at Wesleyan. The course focused on the origins of the atomic bomb as well as the experience of the survivors.
